Three decades of getting the hard parts right.

Norvex Precision began as a two-person workshop on the Rotterdam docks. Today, 340 engineers, machinists and metrologists across two plants build components that operate 3,000 metres below sea level and inside 700-bar hydrogen rigs.

Who we are

An engineering company that happens to own machines.

Most component suppliers sell capacity. We sell judgement. Our teams spend the first hours of any programme arguing about material behaviour, thermal drift and fixture strategy — because those conversations decide whether a part survives its tenth year in service, not its first week.

That philosophy shapes how we are organised. Design, machining, assembly and metrology sit in one building with shared performance targets. A machinist can walk to the designer's desk. A metrologist can stop a run. Nobody hides behind a handover.

The result is unglamorous but valuable: a 99.2% on-time record, a 0.31% field return rate, and customers who have stayed with us through three generations of their own product platforms.

Our journey

From one lathe to two plants across Europe.

1994

A single lathe in Rotterdam

Founders Marijke Vos and Tomas Reijnders open a two-person workshop servicing harbour cranes and dredging equipment.

2001

First offshore contract

Norvex qualifies as a Tier 2 supplier for subsea valve bodies, adding its first CNC machining cell and a dedicated inspection room.

2009

Metrology lab opens

A climate-controlled CMM facility brings validation in-house, cutting first-article turnaround from three weeks to four days.

2016

Automation division launched

The company moves beyond parts into complete motion and sensing modules, shipping its first EtherCAT control nodes.

2021

Hydrogen-ready programme

Material science team qualifies duplex and Inconel processes for 700-bar hydrogen service across four European test rigs.

2025

Second plant in Gdańsk

A 12,000 m² facility adds 18 five-axis centres and doubles annual capacity while keeping engineering centralised.

Tolerance is a promise

If a drawing says ±5 µm, we hold ±2 µm. Every serial number carries the measurement data that proves it.

Engineers answer the phone

No account-manager relay. The person who machined your part is the person who explains what happened to it.

Say no early

We turn down work we cannot do brilliantly. A fast honest no beats a late apology every single time.

Design for a second life

Refurbishment paths are built into product design, extending asset life by an average of nine years.

Cleaner by measurement

94% of swarf is recycled, and both plants run on contracted renewable power with published quarterly reporting.

42 apprentices trained since 2010, with 31 still on the team — including two of our current plant managers.
